A multi-media F3 Soundtrack event. The evening starts with
a short Civil
War film. Following the film, the Washington-based, Wammie-award
Dead Men's Hollow will musically accompany actors from the Guillotine
Theatre as they read letters and diaries from participants, both
soldier and civilian, in the American Civil War. Poignant and
heartbreaking and informative and insightful, these missives from both
sides of the conflict reveal how the war impacted everyone, even those
not on the front lines, from the commanding Generals, to non-military
civilians, to those enslaved.
A remarkable program that drives home the importance of a conflict that
moves further away in time, but becomes more and more relevant when
presented in this moving and entertaining way.
Dead Men's Hollow began as an impromptu
backyard pick n' sing in the summer of 2001. More than a decade later,
group is now a well-established regional band. Dead Men's Hollow
